A very quiet day yesterday. There were actually no PLO games at all, and just a few hold’em games. Patrik Antonius managed to win just over $65K in a short $500/$1000 session, but apart from that there were only a few sessions at the lower tables.
So, I have drilled down in the database to find some more statistics, and in this first table, you can see the top 5 Hold’em and PLO players based on the number of big blinds they have won per hand on average (for players having played at least 1 000 hands). What is quite interesting to see is that Zugwat is on top of the Hold’em section despite having lost close to $70K for the month. He has played mostly $50/100 and $100/$200, but took a shot for about 180 hand at $500/$1000, losing $247K in the process.

The next two tables shows some general statistics about the game, and should be fairly self explanatory. The action really took a step down in September as compared to August. In August, there were well over 120K hands played at these games, while in September it was just over 70K hands. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues. So far in October, we only have about 26K hands on record, so there is every indication that the numbers will be declining for a second straight month.
