Isildur1 continues his domination of durrrr. Wins $858K.

The second half of round 3 between Isildur1 and durrrr brought more of what we have seen over the last few days. Even if Isildur1 was down 1.7 million dollars at one point, he came roaring back to bag a $858K win for the session. His total win over durrrr is now closing in on 3 million dollars. Durrrr’s only consolation must be that he managed to beat Ziigmund out of $453K playing PLO, but he must feel a bit shell shocked now that he is travelling to Vegas to start the recording of the sixth season of ‘High Stakes Poker’.

Isildur1 flops a straight vs durrrr’s second pair and nut flush draw. $588K pot.

A spectacular pot, and a major cooler for durrrr. On a flop of this type, each players range is so wide, that it is impossible to get away from durrrr’s hand in this spot. On a good day, he can find himself in a dominating position, and even now, facing the straight, he wasn’t more than a 3-2 underdog. On this hand, there were no suck-outs coming, so Isildur1 could pad his already ample stack with close to $600K.

Isildur1’s aces are busted by durrrr’s 82s in a $571K pot.

Like yesterday when he flopped a flush, 82 of hearts was the hand that took down the largest pot of the day for durrrr. Today, he turned two pairs and rivered a full house to take down his opponents pair of aces. And as he did yesterday, he called Isildur1’s 3 bet before the flop with this hand. I a am still not thrilled about making this play with such a crappy hand, but this hand has certainly paid dividends for him over the last couple of days. I suspect, though, that there are other hands like this which has cost him a considerable amount of money in other spots.

Once durrrr hit the two pairs on the turn, he made a nice over-bet that served to purposes. First of all, if protected his hand against getting drawn out, and in addition it might have given Isildur1 the suspicion that durrrr was drawing. As we have seen before, the all-in semi bluff on the turn is certainly a part of durrrr’s arsenal of weapons, so I am sure it was easy for Isildur1 to suspect such a move from his opponent. This time, it turned out that durrrr had made a strong hand, and being a 4-1 favourite, he saw his hand stand up to take down a huge pot.

Isildur1 flops a flush vs durrrr’s top pair, but loses the $266K pot to durrrr’s runner runner full house.

Though this was only the 28th largest pot of the session, I am showing it to point out that durrrr is not running horribly during these sessions with Isildur1. On this hand, he was a 39-1 underdog when the money went in, and managed to get there. It is hard to blame him too much for getting into such a spot on this hand since top pair/top kicker really is a premium hand playing heads up, and particularly against an aggressive player like Isildur1. This time, however, he found himself in a deep hole, but a couple of fives on the end was just enough to bail him out.
