Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond has recently played some very action-packed sessions at Full Tilt Poker. Galfond won almost 1,7 million dollars from Isildur1 and then lost big chunck of it back in wild $300/$600 PLO action. From his blog we get some insight from these sessions.
Galfond tells in his blog among other things that he actually ran under all-in EV in his epic session against Isildur1:
"I actually don't remember my exact biggest winning day before this one, but I know last night was my personal best.
I'm not big into graphs and stats, but it seems really sick that I actually ran under allin EV during this session. (I ran above EV during the 2/4nl and 3/6plo, where I broke about even, and in total, I ran exactly at AIev).
I obviously ran insanely hot to win this much though. I'm certainly not claiming otherwise. Just goes to show you that AIev isn't the whole story.
Isildur is a sick individual and I have all the respect in the world for him. Maybe I will type more about the match when I post some hands. Expect that in the next 3-4 days."
