High stakes wise, this must have been the quietest weekend we have seen in a very long time. No games above the $200/$400 level and even those games were capped. It seems that most of the well known players took the weekend off, so hopefully they will come back well rested this week, ready to throw their money around.
The only six figure win of the weekend was luvtheWNBA aka Isaac Haxton, and the main part of that came in a heads-up match of $100/$200 NLHE he played against Mr Zahmat. It lasted 772 hands and in the end Haxton had won a little over $103K.
luvtheWNBA flops two pairs and gets paid off all the way, $42K pot
Strangely enough, this $42K pot was the largest one we observed all weekend, but for luvtheWNBA it surely felt good to be on the winning end of it. It is tough to say what his opponent held here, but I would think that with a king, Mr Zahmat would have gotten his money in on the flop. Instead, I suspect that he had a hand like JT or something, since he could have easily 3-bet preflop with AT or better.
Jungleman12 hits a perfect turn card to scoop a $38K pot.
Sometimes you can dream of a particular card to show up on the board, and the best of times comes when you hit the nuts and your opponent hits just enough to pay you off, preferably drawing dead. As you can see this is exactly what happened for jungleman12 on this hand. For Isaac Brown the turn card is a real cooler. There is no way for him to get away from his straight at that point, so he probably felt quite hard done by.
