URnotINdanger2 and Markus Golser with solid sessions

With Isildur1 is licking his wounds from the other day, the action also slowed down to the levels we have been seeing since the World Series started. There were exceptions, however, and the most notable was probably Markus Golser who managed to put in 1609 hands, mainly in the $100/$200 PLO Cap game, and secured himself a nice $82K win.

This result was not quite enough to surge to the top of the leader board, however, since URnotINdanger2 edged into the top spot by beating kerendream out of $86K in the regular $100/$200 PLO game.

Kerendream turns two pairs, but gets counterfeited on the river. $53K pot.

Two very good hands go up against each other, and not unexpectedly the majority of the money go in before the flop. The hand is instructive for less experienced PLO players since kerendream decided to see the flop before committing his last $10K. From an equity point of view, he would be justified in getting all his chips in preflop, but he can never lose anything by just calling to see if he likes the flop. Obviously he will call his opponents expected shove on the flop the majority of the times, but if the board comes 224 or something similar, he will have saved himself a lot of money.

Once kerendream hits top pair on the flop, he has a clear cut call of URnotINdanger2 all-in bet. He is getting about 4-1 on the call, while he can reasonably expect his equity to be around 33%. The turn card saw him take the lead in the hand, but since it gave URnotINdanger2 a flush draw and a gut shot straight draw, kerendream was only a slight favorite to not get outdrawn on the river. This time, it wasn’t to be as the five on the river made URnotINdanger2 a better two pairs, and in the end the best hand stood up.

URnotINdanger2 outflops kerendream to win a $38K pot

THEDONKEYNO1 rivers a flush to beat kerendreams set. $48K pot

kerendream rivers top two pairs and wins a $45K pot.
