URnotINdanger2 beats up on rumprammer, wins $105K

It is not often that the most substantial action in a day comes from the $50/$100 games, but there has been a pretty wild $50/$100, $15 Ante PLO game going the last few days. And I guess you could say that for most of the time, rumprammer was not ramming anyone but rather had to accept a thorough beating from theASHMAN1033 and URnotINdanger2, losing a total of $156K.

Ziigmund flops trips and fades rumprammer’s flush draw to win a $133K, three way pot.

The largest pot of the period was not won by any of the three players mentioned in the ingress, but rather by Ziigmund who stepped in to play a bit more than 200 hands of $100/$200 PLO before going clubbing on the weekend. On this particular hand he is obviously quite lucky, but his starting hand has quite a lot of potential against the two opponents who hold big cards. Before the flop, he is a 3-1 underdog to win the hand, but considering that it is a three way pot and that he has decent implied odds, it seems that he was right to stay in the hand even though it was 4-bet preflop.

Once the flop comes down, both rumprammer and Ziigmund are destined to get their chips in the middle. The former has legitimate hopes of having the best hand when he makes his bet, and even if he knows that Ziigmund has flopped three sevens, he would still have the sufficient pot odds to call Ziigmund’s shove. The flush draw with the over pair has about 25% equity in this spot, and rumprammer is getting a little better than 3-1 on his call. Unfortunately for rumprammer, Ziigmund filled up on the turn, leaving him drawing two only two outs on the river.

URnotINdanger2 induces a bluff from rumprammer to won a $34K pot.

Interesting play on the river here since URnotINdanger2 has to decide if he will get paid off if he leads out. Since the potential diamond flush was completed on the river, it is doubtful that he would be able to extract any money from his opponent unless he happened to have a flush or better. However, since rumprammer had taken the lead all the way on this hand, it seems that there is a better chance that he would use the eight of diamonds as a scare card and try to fire a third bullet. On this occasion it turns out that this was indeed the best choice, and URnotINdanger2 was rewarded with an extra $11K that he wouldn’t have picked up if he had bet the river himself.
