The $500/$1000 PLO Cap are going strong, and yesterday durrrr beat Hansen and Nekotyan out of a quarter million dollars each. He probably wish he stuck to that game for the whole day, because when he tried his hand in the seven game, things didn’t go as smoothly. Over 350 hands he lost about $260K, but he still managed to stay towards the top of the leader board.
NEKOTYAN flops top two and fades durrrr’s straight draw to win a $75K pot.
By losing $267K, NEKOTYAN had a very bad day at the office, but he did have the honor of winning the largest pot of the day aside from the aforementioned $500/$1000 PLO Cap game. Ironically it was durrrr who was on the losing end of this confrontation.
Seeing that the flop was 3-bet, there was little doubt that the players would get their chips in with these hands. From durrrr’s point of view, there is a chance that he has the best hand, and besides he has a nice little draw going for him. On the other hand, NEKOTYAN would never fold top two pairs in this spot, so it is a typical example of getting your chips in and hoping for the best.
Poltergeist flops the nut straight but Brandon Adams turns a full house to win a $52K pot.
Brandon Adams had a very nice day and was the only one who managed to overtake durrrr on the leaderboard. On this hand he was particularly lucky since he was not only up against the nut straight, but poltergeist also had one of his winners covered since the eight of diamonds would give poltergeist a straight flush.
After the flop poltergeist was almost a 4-1 favorite to win the hand, but the six of clubs on the turn flipped that to Brandon Adams being 11-1 favorite. Unfortunately for poltergeist, these were odds he couldn’t overcome, so when no nine or eight of diamonds appeared on the river, Brandon Adams could scoop the $52K pot.

Both Hansen and durrrr gets it in with marginal hands, and durrrr ends up with an $80K pot.
