Yesterday we got some insight into Tom Dwan’s take on the ongoing challenge against Daniel Cates, and today we have been lucky enough to have jungleman12 himself answer a few questions for us:
Daniel, first of all thank you for taking the time to talk to us. How long do you think it will take to reach 50K hands? Are you both committed to putting in the hours necessary to avoid the marathon we have been seeing in the first challenge?
Pretty much committed. We're both, and perhaps especially durrrr, busy with other things though. But we are going to try to get this match done much faster than the PA vs durrrr match.
What do you think will be the deciding factor in this match?
Can't really comment on that till the end of the match.
Did you ever consider playing PLO instead of NLHE?
For the challenge, no. Otherwise I've learned PLO in addition to NLHE because it is more fun and it is profitable to learn more games.
Why do you want to use the ‘Run it twice’ functionality?
To lower variance, thereby allowing the better player to win the match a higher % of the time.
How many tables do you normally play at any one time?
Can be anywhere from 1-6, ideally around 4 or so.
