Gus Hansen had bit of an ugly setback yesterday, ruining some of the nice work he has been doing as of late with a $429K loss in the $500/$1000 PLO Cap game. As the header indicates, his main nemesis was DrugsOrMe, but Urindanger did also get his licks in by winning $124K. He managed to win back a relatively paltry $15K in the $200/$400 game, but I am not sure that gave him much comfort. In other news, IhateJuice finally had a winning session against Patrik Antonius when he won $123K in 862 hands. Nice for him, obviously, but time will tell if it is an aberration or not.
bemyguestbud turns top two pairs and fades a big straight draw to win a $206K pot.
Size-wise, there was one pot that really stood out yesterday, and it came in the $200/$400 match between luckexpress10 and bemyguestbud. It was a 576 hand duel where bemyguestbud won $175K, and by being more than twice as big as the second largest pot of the day, this hand was by far the most important in reaching that result.
luckexpress10 got a bit unlucky with the turn here when the jack appeared. If his flush draw is good, he will probably be a favorite even with only one card to come. In addition it was a perfect spot to make a play at the pot since he was able to make a huge raise over his opponents turn bet. This would have forced bemyguestbud to fold a lot of decent hands, but with top two pairs and a good flush draw he was not going anywhere. Even though his flush draw was dominated, luckexpress10 was still only a 7-3 underdog, but with no help on either river he had to admit defeat on this hand. Hopefully he gpt some comfort from knowing he played the hand right. He did manage to win back $64K from Sauce1234, so that was probably a better consolation prize.
