Full Tilt Poker told today about a new series of live high-roller tournaments called the Onyx Cup. The six-tournament series will feature buy-ins ranging from $100,000 to $300,000 and take place in exotic locations in the United States, Europe and Asia.

The overall prize pool is expected to be around $30 million for the series, which will also feature a leaderboard.

The leaderboard winner will take home a luxury sports car, and of course a lot of respect for beating the world's toughest players.

The series will consist of five preliminary events and will culminate with the $250,000 Grand Finale with $1 million added to the prize pool. The first tournament will take place in Las Vegas on May 11-12, 2011, just weeks before the World Series of Poker kicks off.

Full Tilt broke the news today about this elite tournament series, with a video interview with Tom Dwan, Erik Seidel, Gus Hansen, Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey - watch the video here!
