Ilari "Ilari FIN" Samahies has always been a huge favorite among most railbirds around the world, but recently he has been facing quite a rough time at the tables, so it is nice to see him book a solid $169k profit in yesterday's action.
Ilari started the day with a couple of $25/50 Omaha PL (6-max) tables where he did very well against pretty much everyone, and left these early sessions with a $78k profit. He then moved from the $25/50 tables onto a couple of $50/100 heads up tables against Isildur1, where he managed to win another $90k. It seemed Isildur1 didn't have more money on his account and the match therefore ended rather quickly.
Ilari FINN won the largest hand on $25/50 of the day against EDWARDHOPPER, where both players hit the nuts on turn with Ilari holding a lot of extra outs that helped him take down the nice $44k pot. The largest hand against Isildur1 came after a sick call/push by Isildur1 on the flop, $55k pot.
Isildur1 suffered a $200k loss yesterday and since Gus Hansen had a great day and won $410k he is now the overall leader this month. It will be exciting to see if Ilari can score a couple of more good session these next days and give him enough self confidence to start fighting for the top spots in next months leaderboard.
