Terken89 - biggest winner at $100/$200 PLO
A relatively new name headed up the list of winners for yesterdays play with mTw-DaviN putting in the hours to take away a solid $141,503 win for the day.
mTw-DaviN is the PokerStars screen name of 24 year old German former Warcraft 3 player Davin Georgi who won the bulk ($121k) of his winnings at the $25/$50 PLO tables. It's hard to report on any specific battles/matches as through the course of the day Georgi played 86 separate sessions across 16 hours and at some points up to 22 tables were playing at any one time with the pool of $25/$50 players flitting from one table to the next.
Also faring well at the $25/$50 games was last months biggest winner "le kork" who bagged an $85k win for the day. Not doing so well however was the biggest winner of the week so far Viktor "Isildur1" Blom who dropped almost exactly $150k throughout the day, despite a very promising start to proceedings. I wonder if the increase in action at the $25/$50 tables has anything to do with his patronage of them? It did seem that a fair few closed down when he logged off for a while!! The other big loser at the tables was 1-ronnyr3 who found himself $85k in the hole at plays end.
mTw-DaviN's biggest pot of the day vs who else but Isildur1
It wasn't just the $25/$50 tables that saw action yesterday however and the second biggest winner of the day Terje "Terken89" Augdal made most of his $92k profit in relatively few hands at the $100/$200 PLO tables - making up a little of the $150k he lost during the Superstar Showdown against Isildur earlier in the month. The biggest loser of the $100/$200 sessions was socutiesf who dropped $62k.
Another interesting development at PokerStars was the return of Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond at the tables. It seems Galfond (more famously known by his Full Tilt moniker "OMGClayAiken") has upped sticks and moved across the border to Canada to resume his online career. His return was greeted in the chatbox by Isildur jokingly commenting, "oh no he's back" - possibly remembering the losing $1.5million session he had vs Galfond at the Full Tilt nosebleeds back in the day. The highstakes tables may get another boost soon as it has been revealed by Haseeb "INTERNET POKERS/Dog Is Head" Quereshi that both he and Dan "Jungleman12/w00kiez" Cates have been invited to stay with Galfond in Canada.
Interesting times ahead perhaps?
