After an October Rui "PepperoniF" Cao will want to forget he has made a good start to November taking just short of $100k at the PokerStars $50/$100 tables yesterday.
Most of his wins came playing heads up against an array of top talent including Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies, Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane, GARFIELD25, urubu111 and omega487. While most of his winnings came at the PLO tables Cao's biggest hand of the day actually came from a rare session of $50/$100 NLHE playing against urubu111.
Not much skill involved here as PepperoniF gets the better of urubu111 in a flip for this $47k pot.
PepperoniF also had a good session head up at PLO, taking over $40k at Isildurs PLO 100 IV, more than $30k of which came from his arch rival Ilari FIN. His biggest hand of the session was this $24.5k pot where Ilari FIN's check-raise bluff is snap re-raised by Cao. Despite this setback Sahamies managed to continue his great run over the past few months by still racking up close to $30,000 profit for the day.
It was also a good day for PokerStars current biggest money winner for 2011, Rafi "refaelamit" Amit who took $80k at the $50/$100 PLO ring games - see his biggest hand of the day, this $50k effort won with flopped set over set at the expense of the days biggest loser mTw-DaviN who dropped $154k on the day. GARFIELD25 also suffered a six figure ($110k) loss losing not only heads up to Rui Cao but also in a disasterous hours play two tabling the $50/$100 PLO ring games.
