Big loss for PepperoniF yesterday
An even bigger loss however for GARFIELD25

It has been an incredible few days for Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies whose PokerStars bankroll has increased by a million bucks since this time last week.

Including the $80k he is currently up on today his total winnings since last Wednesday now total $995,000 and with this he has shot into pole position in the PokerStars 2011 leader board with a juicy $2.2 million profit - the highest total anyone has reached this year in the high stakes games.

His cause was helped dramatically by the return of the $200/$400 PLO ring games. Two tables ran last night with Ilari losing $120k on one but winning a staggering $535k on the other making him far and away the biggest winner in the games, showing over $400k in profit for less than three hours work.

Perhaps surprisingly then it was not he but Fake Love888 (not quite confirmed but heavily suspected to be the PokerStars moniker of one Patrik Antonius) who topped yesterdays leader board as he turned in a $418k profit - just $1,000 more than Ilari! Fake Love888 also benefited greatly from the $200/$400 PLO games, winning $250k in these sessions. He also however won consistently throughout the day at the $100/$200 PLO tables racking up the rest of his days spoils.

The big loser from these sessions was none other than yesterdays all conquering hero Peter "GARFIELD25" Chan who lost over half a million bucks in the $200/$400 games and made a total loss on the day of $537k. After digging his way out of his years $500k hole he has instantly plunged straight back into it! Other six figure losers from the $200/$400 games include Brit player Rob "Vaga_Lion" Akery and the irritatingly named player 1Il|1Il|1il|.

It will be no surprise to learn that the biggest pots of the day came courtesy of the $200/$400 PLO games and it will probably be no surprise that Ilari FIN scooped the biggest pot of the day against GARFIELD25

It looks like GARFIELD25 suspects he might be beaten all along but nevertheless pays off Ilari FIN's flopped nut flush in this $266k pot

The second biggest loser of the day actually didn't compete in the $200/$400 games but instead got a thrashing at the $100/$200 PLO tables as Rui "PepperoniF" found himself $202k down in a little under 3000 hands, continuing his steady downswing he's been on since August. A quite interesting reversal in fortunes as about this time he told Ilari in chat that "it's not 2006 anymore" and that if Ilari dared to play Cao that "I will destroy you" - suggesting that times had moved on and he was no longer in the same league as the new breed of online PLO phenoms.

Since then Ilari FIN has won over $3 million at the PokerStars PLO tables while in the same time period Cao has lost half a million. Karma anyone?
