Eunjong Byun crushes takechip for nearly $200k
Eunjong Byun took on Phil "takechip" D'Auteuil in just under 900 hands of NL $100/$200 yesterday afternoon over several heads up tables and walked away a $193k winner.
The two played for around 2.5 hours in which time the play crossed six tables and the South Korean was a winner on each of them from amounts ranging from $8.5k to $78k. Given the stakes and the number of hands played it is perhaps a little surprising that there weren't any huge hands. However, here are the biggest two;
Byun's top pair top kicker is more than enough to defeat takechip who makes a hero call on the river - $48k pot
takechip is looking good for this $47k pot as Byun makes a dubious shove on the flop before lucking out on the river
The biggest pot of the match however came from takechip;
takechip gets very lucky with this ill advised shove - $58k pot
The only other player to top six figures (in fact the only other player to win above $39k) was VietRussian who won $109k after a busy day at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables playing over 1600 hands across 25 sessions.
Some big names appear on the days loser list with takechip losing biggest with a total loss of $151k, followed by Theo J who dropped $109k in the $50/$100 PLO games with Isildur1, toweliestar and Terken89 all among the top ten losers.
