Blom pictured in a rare moment not on his laptop
If you thought Isildur1's swingy sessions over the past few days were exhausting to watch it was nothing compared to his wild ride yesterday and this morning.
After mounting a great comeback during Monday night / Tuesday morning to wipe out a significant six figure downswing Viktor Blom took residence at the $100/$200 PLO tables for some more epic sessions of high octane, multi-tabling mayhem.
After quicky dropping a couple of hundred thousand Blom made a terrific surge in the middle of the day adding over half a million dollars to his bankroll before almost inevitably crumbling as we headed towards early evening (European Time). Refusing to give up after paying thousands upon thousands of hands over countless hours Blom then went on yet another rush and looked as if he has finally decided enough was enough sitting pretty on a huge $774k win over his last 24 hours play. However, after what we can only imagine must have been a few hours necessary sleep Isildur1 stepped back up the plate and over the next 7 or so hours gave back $500k of his hard fought winnings!
The list of Isildur's opponents is too long to list here as it included practically every high stakes PLO regular you ever see playing at PokerStars but from the games one name shone in the late night sessions brighter than the others as patpatman is currently sitting on a $400k win for the past 24 hours.
As you might imagine there have been a few pretty big hands played over the last 24 hours, here are the top three;
Isildur1's biggest ever pot at PokerStars - he connects well with this flop and his equity is well worth getting his stack in against 1Il|1Il|1il| who pretty much played his Aces face up - $355k pot
If anyone can tell me while Isidur1 is calling this flop bet please let me know - $187k pot
1Il|1Il|1il| makes an ill timed bluff with his busted flush draw as mTw-DaviN rivers a full house - $145k pot
Looking at the results page for yesterday the top few places we can largely ignore right now as the games played well over midnight server time and as we've seen Isildur lost a chunk of his days end figure just as patpatman added a fair bit to his. Things at the rough end of the results are certainly worth a mention however as there were some heavy losses for some big names - none bigger than Phil "MrSweets28" who compounded his $258k loss on Monday with a huge $428k loss yesterday - literally having to give up on the games as he seemingly came to the end of his current bankroll on Stars.
Also losing big were one of yesterdays big winners Ilari FIN who lost all of Mondays winnings and more, dropping $308k with Berndsen12 suffering at the hands of Isildur1 and losing $392k. Not far behind was Fake Love888 with a $267k loss.
One interesting point to make about Isildur1's wins and losses is that it would seem that despite how it may look seeing him squandering huge amounts of winnings time and time again that he appears to have made a point of making semi-regular cash outs to put a stop loss of sorts in place.
Regularly over the past few months after a big win he has clearly made a sizeable cashout before then attempting to use what he has left to win even more. The evidence suggests that Isildur will often lose a decent amount of money in these instances (although not as much as he had recently won) before making small deposits which would be unnecessary if he hadn't cashed out. We saw this yesterday after he was seen buying in for around $3k on the $50/$100 tables before mega-rushing this up to almost $800k in a few short hours.
If this is his strategy then it is certainly paying dividends as despite this mornings losses he is still close to a million dollars up since his December comeback. With a seven figure tournament win also under his belt this year it's certainly been a good couple of months from the Team PokerStars Pro.
