Yesterday was the quietest day at the high stakes tables on Pokerstars in the past week, with only one person winning or losing over $100k on yesterday's leaderboard.
There were only two short sessions at $100/$200 PLO which were heads-up between Rafi "refaelamit" Amit and RaiseOnce (who is rumoured to be Phil Ivey), and between Fake Love888 (rumoured to be Patrik Antonius) and Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies (-$16k). RaiseOnce played a mixture of games as usual and ended the day a $40k winner even though he lost the biggest pot of the day, which surprisingly occurred in no limit. Refaelamit was the third biggest loser of the day, losing $80k in total which was all against RaiseOnce. Fake Love888 marginally beat Ilari for just $9k over a very short session, but lost $79k at the $50/$100 tables, and thus was down $70k at the end of the day.
Fake Love888 gets his money in with the bigger over pair for the biggest pot in this session for a $49k pot.
The biggest pot at $100/$200 yesterday went to RaiseOnce who got all his money in with the nuts for a $49.5k pot.
There was a fair bit of action at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables with the biggest winner of the day, Rui "PepperoniF" Cao (+$108k), playing those games but heads-up (albeit a 23 hand session on a six-max table) primarily against Gozoboro (-$77k), Johnthefast (+$44k), and pablo9 x (+$47k). We haven't seen Rui play the $100/$200 like he used to so hopefully we can see him play there soon and hope that yesterday's win is the start of an upswing for the French pro since his $800k downswing during the past six months; many people will be hoping that he will battle his nemesis, Ilari FIN, soon. The biggest winner at the $50/$100 PLO six-max tables was PauleAdler who booked a solid $75k win, who also won the biggest pot at those tables.
PauleAdler wins this three-way all-in for a $52k pot.
Johnthefast wins the biggest pot at $50/$100 yesterday against Alex "BiatchPeople" Luneau (-$62k) with a full house for this $56.5k pot.
Alex "Kanu7" Millar (+$86k) played Justin "ZeeJustin" Bonomo (-$57k) heads-up at $50/$100 NLHE and beat him for $46k after losing just under $70k to him the day before. There was a 17 hand heads-up session between RaiseOnce and Kanu7 at $200/$400 NLHE in which the biggest pot of the day happened. RaiseOnce decided to quit after losing this:
Kanu ended the day as the second biggest winner partly due to his hand holding up to win this flip for an $80k pot.
There is currently some action at the $100/$200 PLO tables featuring Ilari and RaiseOnce. We will update you with the action of this game plus the rest of today's play in our report tomorrow.
