Mike "Timex" McDonald Leads EPT Madrid After Day 2

Mike McDonald takes the chip lead.

During Day 2 of the European Poker Tour Madrid Main Event (buy-in €5.300), the 264 players that started the day were reduced down to 112. The man to catch today is Mike "Timex" McDonald, who has already captured one EPT title by winning the EPT Dortmund in 2008.

McDonald ended the day 2 with 409,800 and is looking to capture his second major EPT title.

Also still in are the likes of McLean Karr (330,700), Erich Kollmann (275,500), Ilan Boujenah (271,000), Johnny Lodden (180,900), David Benyamine (55,500) and Melanie Weisner (43,200).

72 will get money, and the winner will claim the €545,000 first-place prize and the title of EPT champion.
