Ronny "1-ronnyr3" Kaiser dominated the action at the PLO tables yesterday winning $425k which was more than double the winnings of the second biggest winner on our leaderboard. He played predominantly $100/$200 PLO where he won the three biggest pots of the day. There were a few six figure winners and losers, and five $100k+ pots. Furthermore, we witnessed Viktor "Isildur1" Blom (+$181k) play over 5,500 hands and incur his crazy swings.
There was initially some action at the $50/$100 HU PLO tables between Isildur1 and UK pro Ben "milkybarkid" Grundy (+$98k), and it was the Brit who ended the match on top, winning approximately $70k from the Swede. Isildur1 played some more heads-up but against Davin "mTw-DaviN" Georgi (-$131k) who has been away from the tables for the past couple of weeks, probably to recover from his recent half million dollar downswing. He lost to Isildur1 in this match but for just over half a buy-in ($5.5k). It was a bad start of the day for the young Swede but it turned around for both of them later in the day as Isildur1 ended the day as the second biggest winner whereas mTw-Davin was the third biggest loser.
The $50/$100 PLO tables were quite busy after Blom finished his heads-up encounters but the action soon moved to the $100/$200 tables where 1-ronnyr3 ran extremely well, and his win yesterday put him back into the black for the year. There were three other six figure winners of the day including Isildur1, Gabriel "verve.oasis" Goffi (+$127k) and long90110 who continued his upswing from a couple of days ago with a $117k win yesterday. It seems the tables get filled up when he is playing but he has been doing very well recently and is one of few players who likes to play deep; he was sitting with over $160k at one point on the $50/$100 tables.
1-ronnyr3 flops a full house and gets paid off on all three streets by MrSweets28 to win this $123k pot.
long90110's pair of aces are no good against 1-ronnyr3 flopped set of kings, and the Swiss pro scoops the $112k pot.
There were, of course, many big losers yesterday with five players losing six figures. The biggest loser by quite a margin was German player mikki696 who lost $296k. His identity is currently unknown and yesterday's losses put him into a $230k deficit for the year. He surprisingly, however, did not lose any of the six figure pots of the day. The second biggest loser was Phil "takechip" D'Auteuil (-$152k) who is now down over $400k in the past week. mTw-DaviN had a rough time as well at the $100/$200 PLO tables and ended the day down $131k. IAmSoSo who normally plays $25/$50 and $50/$100 seemed to take a shot at the bigger game yesterday but it did not end well for him as he lost $114k in just over a thousand hands. The other six figure loser of the day was high stakes PLO regular, Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond (-$108k), who in fact lost two of the three biggest pots of the day against 1-ronnyr3. Yesterday's result was a small slip for the US pro as he is still up just under $1.6 million in the past month.
1-ronnyr3 gets lucky and hits a full house on the turn against MrSweets28's flopped flush which is when the money goes in, in this $109k pot.
A $181k profit is certainly a great result against these tough opponents, but Isildur1 was up close to $500k at one point before going on a downswing the next two hours. We hope to see him at the tables today which have already been quite active with mTw-DaviN and Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies playing some $100/$200 against each other.
