It's been a pretty rough ride for Fake Love888 (rumoured to be Patrik Antonius) since he started playing high stakes poker at PokerStars as he sits among the biggest losers since we started tracking with over $1.1 million in losses. That figure is however an improvement on two days ago when he was closing in on $1.4 million losses. A couple of winning days, including yesterdays $122k leader board topping score will have hopefully lifted his spirits a little.
If Fake Love888 in indeed Antonius then he is well used to coming from behind to make his mark - at the beginning of 2010 he suffered a massive +$3 million downswing in the first three months of the year before ending the year in profit.
Fake Love888 made his mark yesterday in the $50/$100 PLO games playing against the likes of MrSweets28, Genius28, yiyi01, LuckyGump, EireAbu and Deldar182 winning over $100k in a 2.5 hour session around at around lunchtime.
Despite being the biggest winner of the day Fake Love888 didn't feature in any of the days biggest pot - his biggest individual haul being his $42k share of this $47k pot
Phil Galfond's good form continued as he took second spot on the leaderboard with a $92k win - mostly won at the higher $100/$200 PL) tables in an evening heads up session versus Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. It was another bad day for Blom as he finished as the days second biggest loser, dropping $100k and is now over half a million down in 2012. Galfond on the other hand is now third on this years high stakes winners list at PokerStars showing over $1.1 million profit after a terrible start to the year where he dropped around $700k.
The biggest hands of the day occurred in the $200/$400 NLHE games which occurred just after midnight server time - however, as we covered those in yesterdays report I will post the two biggest hands which occurred in the games which started today - and both came from a heads up clash between LuckyGump and EireAbu at the $50/$100 PLO tables.
This action flop could only ever end with both players getting their money in - LuckyGump hits one of his many draws to take this $67k pot
EireAbu can consider himself lucky to take this $60k pot as he was drawing very thin after the flop
The day produced two six figure losers as Isildur1 was joined at the bottom by the days biggets loser, yiyi01 who dropped just over $102k.
