!P0krparty¡ seemed to have rested well the day before yesterday as he crushed everyone at the $50/$100 PLO games to the tune of $321k. He played another long session (5,539 hands) as one expects of him and his bankroll (according to his Twitter which you can follow on HighstakesDB) is now over $700k. He was joined at the tables by familiar names including Viktor "Isildur1" Blom who played some PLO after his second SCOOP victory for $160k.
The action at the high stakes tables yesterday was predominantly at $25/$50 and $50/$100 which were played at the deep ante PLO tables for a considerable period of time, and it was here where the action really heated up. There was both six-max and heads-up PLO action, and both involved !P0krparty¡. He was able to do extremely well in his heads-up match in which he played the Romanian player Phisherman36 (-$284k) across four tables in an epic encounter at $25/$50. Both players were playing super super deep - Phisherman36 had over $100k on one table whereas !P0krparty¡ had $240k on one of the tables (4,800 BBs) and six figures on another. !P0krparty¡ won approximately $325k in this heads-up battles which is equal to 65 buy-ins! Phisherman36 encountered his first major downswing in his otherwise impeccable year (prior to yesterday he was up $750k) so we look forward to seeing how he recovers. He surprisingly won the biggest pot of the match:
!P0krparty¡ misses his flush and straight draws against Phisherman36 in this $96k pot.
A couple of other top pros had six figure wins yesterday, both of whom won there money at the $50/$100 PLO ring games: Fredrik "H@££INGGOL" Halling (+$141k) and patpatman (+$113k). Isildur1 managed a $21k win as well. On the other end of the scale, Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond (-$89k) didn't fare so well whereas the "fish" of the table, the Canadian player rumoured to be Guy "Zypherin" Laliberte, managed a $55k win. There was a short amount of $100/$200 and $200/$400 PLO action which was played short-stacked by most of the players therefore being less action-packed than the deep $25/$50 and $50/$100 games, but it was at the $200/$400 table where the only six figure pot of the day occurred:
Dusan "nasud 11" Valenta's full house wins the $32k main pot whereas doncarignano's backdoor nut flush beats Terje "Terken89" Augdal in this $71k side pot.
There was also a $50/$100 HUNL match between arguably two of the very best NL players in the world. Daniel "w00ki3z." Cates (+$4k) beat Alex "Kanu7" Millar (-$1k) for a mere $820 over just less than 500 hands. Both players joked about how close they were at the end of the match.
We will be releasing an analysis of !P0krparty¡'s current epic run very soon so be on the look out for that.
