We have come to expect Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies have crazy swings due to his aggressive and fearless style of play at the high stakes PLO tables and yesterday it worked out extremely well for the Finnish pro. He won $294k playing less than 700 hands including over $215k at just one table of $100/$200. He played both in the ring games and heads-up, the latter against Viktor "Isildur1" Blom.
There was action last night at the $50/$100 PLO tables in the ring games and although Ilari FIN did play in these although for less than 80 hands in which he won $52k, the biggest game was between Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky and RaiseOnce (rumoured to be Phil Ivey) at $100/$200 PLO. They played just 61 hands but Sauce123 who ended the day as a $52k winner, won $39k in this game including the biggest pot of the day. Another player who played in the $50/$100 games was terryhsu (+$77k) who has until very recently just been playing the highest mixed games on PokerStars. He however had a great day overall, not because of his performance in the ring games, but he was able to beat glosik for $79k this morning at $50/$100 heads-up. glosik played close to 4,000 hands over the day but was in fact the biggest loser of the day with a $165k loss.
Sauce123 flops trips against RaiseOnce's over-pair and flush draw to scoop the $99k pot .
We also witnessed Isildur1 in heads-up action at the same stakes and this was firstly against Ilari FIN who he lost $24k to before Ilari decided to call it a day but Isildur1 immediately tried to find another opponent and got one in Phisherman36 who played him at the $50/$100 deep ante tables. It did not go well for Isildur1 at all as he lost over $120k to the Romanian based player who actually ended the day with a $32k loss due to his poor performance in the $100/$200 ring games. Isildur1 lost $100k overall for the day.
Ilari FIN has Ben86 dominated on the flop after he flops middle set against his aces in this $82k pot .
The action at the $100/$200 PLO game which was at the deep ante table was totally dominated by Ilari FIN. His biggest victim was Ben "Ben86" Tollerene who lost $105k in this game and $112k for the day which made him the second biggest loser of the day. Ilari FIN ran extremely well winning six of the eight biggest pots in this game. We hope to continue seeing him in action later today hopefully playing at the highest stakes which we all know he loves to play.
