David "Deldar182" Eldar played for more than 13 hours yesterday at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables doing extremely well especially in the latter in which he was involved in a heads-up match. He won $172k for his efforts at the tables playing just under 2,900 hands in a day which was generally quieter in comparison to the past few days. We continued to see some good NLHE action, this time at the $50/$100 tables.
There was a decent amount of action in the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO ring games which is where Deldar182 played the majority of his hands. There were however no other big winners in these games, and in fact, the other 'big' winners here were Joeri "L0ve2playU" van der Sman (+$41k) and Rory "Mafews" Matthews (+$31k). The biggest loser in these games was German player mikki696 who lost $78k and is now on an over $600k downswing from October last year. He was not the biggest loser of the day and that unfortunate title went to Canada-based player 10IsTheYear who lost $91k. He lost the vast majority in his heads-up match against Deldar182, the latter of whom generally plays just ring games, but he did extremely well HU. He also ran well in the match and this was quite evident from one of the tables in which he won over $41k in just 4 hands (which is more than a 100BB per hand). Deldar182 was away from the tables for the first three months of this year but he has still managed to be over $900k in profit so far in 2012.
We saw some good NLHE action at $50/$100 at both short-handed and heads-up tables between some notable names. The biggest winner in the ring games was UK pro Tom "tjbentham" Bentham who won $57k and was actually the second biggest winner of the day. Other players who did well in these games were Chris "Genius28" Lee who decided to play NL instead of PLO and managed to win $40k, and Swedish high stakes NLHE specialist Joel "Odonkor1" Nordkvist (+$33k) who seems to have returned to the PokerStars tables after more than a month away. The biggest losers were Russian player Flying Smile who lost $60k and visjeatwater didn't fare too well losing $33k. Phil "takechip" D'Auteuil had a very good day at the tables winning $51k which included a great heads-up match for the Canadian pro against wilhasha (-$38k).
Genius28 wins the $46k main pot and ragen70 wins the $16k side pot in the biggest pot of the day.
patpatman hits top set on the flop against w00ki3z.'s pocket aces which hold up and scoop the $152k pot.
Day's biggest winners: David "Deldar182" Eldar (+$172k), Tom "tjbentham" Bentham (+$57k), Phil "takechip" D'Auteuil (+$51k)
Day's biggest losers: 10IsTheYear (-$91k), mikki696 (-$78k), Flying Smile (-$60k)
