Theo "TheoJ" Jorgensen played just under 1,000 hands at $50/$100 PLO yesterday and managed to book a win of $69k to end as the biggest winner of the day in a generally quiet day at the high stakes tables. He seems to be running good online which was not the case for the Danish pro as he had a consecutive of twelve losing months from April 2011 to April 2012. He has recovered well especially so far in June in which he is up approximately $100k.
The action yesterday was mostly at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 tables. TheoJ made his money at the $50/$100 PLO tables which he played in the short-handed games. He was able to book a profit in each of the five tables he played at these stakes ranging from $5k to $27k. He played a couple of quite short sessions; a 3.5 hour session in the morning where he won $34k and a 2.75 hour session in the evening where he won $35k. Another big winner of the day was Romanian player Ignat "0Human0" Liviu who won $64k. He played both NLHE and PLO, doing well in the latter especially in an afternoon session where he won $73k in less than 120 hands. There were no other $50k+ winners but we did see Macau-based player patpatman in action. He played just 362 hands at $50/$100 PLO winning $38k which is a small help in recovering his $191k loss from the day before.
longerpig wins the biggest pot of the day as he gets lucky on the turn hitting a two-outer against EireAbu in this $32k pot.
We saw one of the most solid PLO grinders have a 'bad day at the office' as Ireland-based player EireAbu lost $84k and he is now on a $180k downswing over the past few days. Judging from his previous results, he will probably recover from this downswing within the next few days. He has been finding it hard to get action at the tables as the lobby is quite dead as most of the high stakes pros are currently in Las Vegas for the WSOP. A player who is not at the WSOP is Ukranian player glosik who did not fare well yesterday, losing $82k. There were no other $50k+ losers for the day.
