Once again NLHE specialilst wilhasha topped PokerStars high stakes leader board yesterday, taking home $129k for his days work. This win now puts his June profit up to $480k, nearly $50k ahead of another NLHE HU specialist - and last years biggest NLHE winner at PokerStars high stakes tables - Alex "Kanu7" Millar. It has been a great spell for wilhasha and after yesterdays result he is finally in the black for the first time since he started playing the high stakes games at the end of last year.
For once it wasn't Korean pro Eunjong Byun on the end of wilhasha's hot streak yesterday - his profits were taken, in fairly equal measure, from the aforementioned Kanu7 and from PimpyLimpy. He took around $64k during a lunch time match at the $25/$50 NL tables from PimplyLimpy in around 2,500 hands and an almost identical amount from Kanu7 in a 1,400 hand late night session of $100/$200 NL.
As well as taking the most money this month wilhasha has also played the most hands, with his 4k hands yesterday making his total hands played this month over 22,000, more than twice that of Kanu7 who with just under 10k hands has played the second highest number of high stakes hands so far in June.
Here are wilhasha's biggest pots from yesterdays play;
wilhasha makes a big value bet with his TPTK and gets paid off by Kanu7 - $80.6k pot
Once again both players have top pair and once again wilhasha's kicker plays - $54k pot
There were no other big winners yesterday with glosik second on the leader board with a $41k win.
