This morning saw a big match between the two friends, as wilhasha and ChaoRen160 went heads up against each other for 2 hours across 2 tables, playing 405 hands on each table. The biggest hand of the match was this $130k hand, which is huge for $50/100! ChaoRen160 check-raises the flop as a complete bluff, but picks up an up-and-down straight draw on the turn, which is also a huge card for wilhasha as he hits his set. All of the top 10 biggest hands of Thursday (and Friday morning) actually all came from this game, with this one being the second biggest pot of the day. In this hand ChaoRen takes an unorthodox line where he 3-bets, check-calls, then check-raises. Wilhasha turns his hand into a bluff, but somehow ChaoRen finds the call. ChaoRen160 coincidently finished $160k richer from the match, and the day, as that was his only game.
It's worth noting that the above match happened after lots of friendly banter that the two had a couple of days ago, when ChaoRen160 was playing NL for the first time in ages. These two clearly have history. ChaoRen160 said how it's funny that he's actually the biggest winner in no limit online, but that nobody knows it, and wilhasha agreed like he already knew. If that's true it's a pretty crazy thing and it all must have happened years ago. ChaoRen160 also said how he forgot how much fun no limit is, and that it's a better game than PLO. So hopefully that means we can look forward to more games from him.
Unfortunately for Wilhasha he ended the day $169k worse off, after also playing Phisherman36 at $25/50 no limit heads up. It seems that this is the first time we have seen the Romanian play NL, and hopefully not the last, as the games showed some interesting promise. Probably the most noteworthy hand of that short session was this one, where they get it all-in on the flop, Phisherman36 with queen high and a gut shot, but finds another way to win.
The other big heads up game of yesterday was a rematch between Sussie Smith and altiFC. The two played some more $50/100 heads up NLHE again yesterday, with the German altiFC coming out on top this time. It's hard to tell just how much by however, as it was amongst other $50/100 6-max games. Mickan1984 finished the biggest winner in these, profiting $38k. This hand was the biggest of that heads up battle, where altiFC makes a big call-down. Sussie Smith finished Friday down $25k, and altiFC up $11k.
