Whilst the amazing "Big One for One Drop" finale was happening over in Vegas, yesterday the High-stakes tables were actually busier than they have been lately. The match with the most action that happened yesterday was between Rui “PepperoniF" Cao and Phisherman36. They played a huge 4100 hands against each other at 4 tables of PLO $50/100 deep over 6 hours. The biggest non-split pot hand in this game was this $62k pre-flop confrontation. It was Phisherman36 who ran well and finished $146k richer from the encounter, and that was all the Romanian played yesterday.
PepperoniF however, continued to play against Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies. There is quite a bit of history and rivalry between these two guys, and seemingly no love lost. They played for around 2 hours, and Ilari finished approximately $33k up from him. The biggest hand of this match was pretty amazing though, where Ilari makes a big call down for $59k.
There were also a couple of other big games that happened on Tuesday, including $100/200 and $200/400 NL 6-max games featuring the usual names. In the $100/200 and $200/400 NL games mickan1984 finished the biggest winner, up $85k for the day. These games had the regular faces, who sometimes seemingly come from nowhere when a big game starts, such as thecortster. The biggest hand of the day (which wasn't a split pot) happened during this session, where mickan1984 makes a slightly unorthodox check on the river. The river check induces wilhasha to somewhat value-own himself, where he might not have called if mickan1984 shoves the river. Unfortunately for wilhasha, his swingy day ended in a loss of around $143k after 2484 hands after also playing some extra $50/100 NL.
Hopefully all this action continues and it doesn't quieten again!
Overall results for Tuesday:
Winners: Phisherman36 +$146k, mickan1984 +$85k, Ilari FIN+$47k
Losers: PepperoniF -$187k, wilhasha -$72k, PimpyLimpy -$51k
