It's been quite a week for Michael Hack - last week he took down the biggest win of his live poker career with a $125k payday for winning the $2,500 Wynn Summer Classic and now he is among the chip leaders going into Day 3 of the WSOP Main Event having topped the leader board on Day 2c with 457k chips in the bag.
In total five players eclipsed 400k from day 2c, including the days early chip leader Randy Haddox who held his position towards the top of the leading players all day, finishing in 4th with a little over 407k.
Of course we have a long list of famous names among those still in play with several in good standing with well above the average stack including; Jake Cody, Joseph Cheong, Ben Lamb, Antonio Esfandiari, Johnny Chan, Vivek Rajkumar, Marvin Rettenmaier and Nick Schulman. Still in contention but with a little work to do include; Shane Warne, Kyle Julius, Jason Mercier, Sorel Mizzi, John Juanda, Freddy Deeb and Farzad Bonyadi.
Those going home after Day 2c not to return to the fray included; Randy "nanonoko" Lew, Andy Frankenberger (both, incidentally eliminated at the hands of 10 times WSOP Champ Johnny Chan wth his AA beating Lew's KK and his 99 beating Frankenbeger's KK with a lucky rivered 9), Viktor "Isildur1" Blom (who chipped up to over 200k before imploding during the last couple of levels of the day), Doyle Bruson, Gus Hansen, Melanie Weisener, Tom "KingsOfCards" Marchese, Jeff Madsen, Blair Hinkle, Michael Mizrachi, Joe Cada, Jamie Gold, Jennifer Tilly and Ted Forrest.
In total around 900 players move on to Day 3 tomorrow from Day 2c, (joining the 850 or so from Days 2a &b) - the first day in which all players will be playing at the same time. The current chip leader will be the chip leader from yesterdays Day 2's, French player, Gaelle Baumann.
