Now when the historic one million dollar buy-in Big One For One Drop tournament has been finished, rumors about another big high roller event are starting to swirl.
Billionaire businessman Richard Yong revealed in a short interview with PokerNews.com, that the WSOP APAC (Asia Pacific) of next year in Melbourne will have a $500k buy-in tournament with one re-entry.
"I like the high stakes. The WSOP APAC (Asia Pacific) of next year in Melbourne will have a $500k buy in tournament with one re-entry. It will better for players because no tax like in U.S.", Yong told.
The World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific (WSOP APAC) will run from April 4th through April 15th.
Asia's richest poker tournament (buy-in USD $129,000) to this day was played just few months ago. Allan Le won the 30-player tournament and earned HKD $13,080,000 (USD $1.7 million) for his first place finish.
WSOP.com reported in April, that the WSOP APAC would "feature five bracelet events and will run April 4th through April 15th."
