As reported last night Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies had an incredible day at the nosebleed PLO tables, putting in a show stealing performance to rake in $444k yesterday. At one point Ilari surpassed the 1/2 million mark during the morning session 600 hand session, although he lost around $60k in a subsequent afternoon session. With his total win of $443,736 Ilari FIN is now showing a profit for the year of $525, the first time he has shown a profit all year!
This may not seem much but remember, at this time last year Ilari was the biggest loser at PokerStars showing an $800k deficit and yet he ended as the sites biggest high stakes winner with over $2 million profit.
It seems Ilari is enjoying the return to the higher stakes PLO as he won over $360k last week at the same stakes. He was the only player to show a profit from the four tables of action in the morning session where he played against Jens "Jeans89" Kyllönen, Sander "Bernsden12" Bernsden, Phisherman36, Terje "Terken89" Augdal, superatos, nimzon, David "Deldar182" Eldar, Tim "tjbentham" Bentham.
Sahamies was dominant in the sessions, getting involved in most pots and his constant aggression paid dividends and he scooped the four biggest pots of the session, including three six figure pots;
Sahamies takes the biggest pot of the day after a hefty gamble and is lucky to hit his straight on the river - $217k pot
Cooler for Terken89 who flops trips only to see Ilari turn over a flopped full house - $144k pot
Action flop creates this $137k pot with Ilari outdrawing his opponents
Due to Ilari dominating the action at $200/$400 PLO there were no other big winners yesterday with second placed knez1985 taking a $55k win playing heads up $25/$50 PLO against the likes of Terken89 and hasankiki
Bernsden12 was the days biggest loser, dropping $111k in the big games.
