longerpig had a great day at the PokerStars high stakes PLO tables yesterday as he won more than twice the amount of anybody else playing, earning over $144k for his days work.
Most of his work was done throughout the morning at the heads up tables, although he did have time to put in a couple of hours late afternoon in the ring games to pick up another $36k.
longerpig had a successful session against Rui "PepperoniF" Cao whose downswing continues as he lost a total of $52.9k yesterday and is now over $400k down for 2012 and over a million down in the past 12 months at PokerStars. Cao actually lost around $100k to longerpig but his losses were not quite so severe at the end of the day due to some earlier success, particularly against Gozoboro, again at $50/$100 HU PLO.
Although PepperoniF lead for around two thirds of the match, longerpig really crushed Cao in the last hour of play and won most of the big pots, including two hands which counted among the top ten biggest hands played yesterday at PokerStars;
PepperoniF flops a set but with two straight draws and the nut flush draw longerpig was going nowhere. He completes a straight on the turn in this $45.2k pot
This pot could go anywhere with longerpig leading on the flop but up against PepperoniF's overpair, straight draw and backdoor flush draw - longerpig avoids the outdraw and actually boats up on the river - $41.7k pot
longerpig's biggest hand of the day however came in the later $50/$100 ring games;
Ilari FIN gets a little ambitious with his mediocre hand preflop and longerpigs Aces easily hold out - $45.6k pot
