Once more it was a heads up battle which decided the biggets winners and losers at PokerStars high stakes tables yesterday as WCG|Rider put a six figure beat on wilhasha and the $50/$100 NLHE tables in a four hour 1700 hand session yesterday afternoon.
WCG really dominated the action, making decent wins on three of the four tables they played, racking up his six figure win along the way. He also enjoyed the three biggest pots of the encounter;
Cooler for wilhasha as both player flop trip Kings - $81k pot
Another cooler for wilhasha as he turns a J high flush only to find his opponent made a straight flush - $61k pot
wilhasha bluffs with complete air on the river - he probably would have got away with it to as WCG missed his flush draw but rivered a lucky two pair and takes this $59.4k pot
WCG's biggest pot wasn't quite the biggest of the day as n0d1ceb4by took down this $90k pot playing HU $100/$200 PLO against Gozoboro making a boat on the turn
The only six figure scores for the day were from the headline match with WCG taking the $109k score and wilhasha topping the losers list with a total $123.5k loss for the day.
The other big news of the day was the apparent reappearance of none other than 2011's leading online money winner, one Gus Hansen. Hansen was known to play on the account "broksi" at PokerStars in the past and yesterday he showed up to make a $62k win at the $50/$100 PLO tables, taking on the likes of L0ve2playU, N Channing, St1ckman and others. So far so good for broksi as so far he has profited from 6 of the 8 tables he's been seen at and is back in action today. Perhaps the apparent return of Hansen will help ramp up the PLO action once again as if it is him, I can't see him being satisfied with $50/$100 for too long!
