Yesterday saw perhaps the biggest day of action at the PokerStars high stakes tables this year as multiple six figure scores were the order of the day with Dutch pro Joeri "L0ve2playU" van der Sman walked away a huge $468k winner from the $200/$400 PLO tables. In total 9 players posted six figure wins with 9 players posting six figure losses.
Joeri had one particularly huge session where in just 150 hands he won an enormous $347k playing against patpatman, tjbentham, Genius28, 101sTheYear and 5tgb6yhn7 among others. This session also yielded his two biggest hands of the day which were the 1st and 3rd biggest seen at PokerStars yesterday;
A crazy four way all in preflop is won by the worst starting hand on the river - I'm sure L0ve2playU was as surprised as anyone when the pot was shipped his way - $185k pot
In a heads up pot 5tgb6yhn7 probably regrets calling L0ve2playU on the flop and turn with such a poor hand only to hit what he thinks maybe a lucky river - $140k pot
The second biggest pot of the day was won by one of the days six figure losers, patpatman (-$149k);
broksi's Aces are cracked as patpatman's wrap draw completes on the river - $155.6k pot
Also scoring multiple six figure wins were Theo J who made a tidy $278k profit, also at the $200/$400 PLO tables winning half his money earlier in the day playing against the likes of 0Human0, Phisherman36, römpsä, masoren, Jeans89 and Ilari FIN and then had another good $140k session in the afternoon.
The action wasn't just confined to the PLO tables however as we also saw some great $200/$400 NLHE action which was dominated by a certain Daniel "w00ki3z." Cates, better known by his Full Tilt moniker, jungleman12. Cates has been lying relatively low of late, choosing to ply his trad on the euro sites and doing pretty well by the sounds of things - apparently having won over $1.5 million since Black Friday hit and he relocated to the UK. Yesterday he was showing off his skills as he won $250k in just 90 minutes playing heads up against wilhasha who ended the day a $226k loser.
Cates took one hand which featured among the biggest of the day;
Cates rivers a higher flush than an unlucky wilhasha - $114.3k pot
The days biggest loser was the previous days biggest winner as Ilari FIN yet again followed up a fantastic day with a terrible one. He lost a total of $349k at the big PLO games, followed by wilhasha and the days other multiple six figure loser 101sTheYear. Gus "broksi" Hansen also suffered in the big PLO game losing $173k in four hour session.
