Once again Gus "broksi" Hansen sits high on the daily leaderboard from the PokerStars high stakes tables, this time taking top spot with a $164.2k win.
The overwhelming majority of Hansen's win came at the conclusion of his Omaha Hi Lo match from Friday evening which spilled over into Saturday morning (server time) with Gus earning $142.2k playing madmags4. Aside from this match Hansen only played another 29 hands yesterday and they were played out at the $50/$100 PLO tables where he managed a $22k win in as many minutes. In total broksi only played 174 hands in total yesterday, earning over $940 per hand played
Also doing well yesterday was one of last years biggest winners at PokerStars, Andreas "Skjervøy" Torbergsen who, after a pretty bad month finally made a solid win, taking $140k at the $50/$100 PLO tables - he had to work a little harder than broksi as with 3846 hands played he earned a little over $36 per hand played yesterday.
There were no huge pots for Torbergsen or Hansen at the PLO tables but here are there biggest hands of the day;
Skjervøy flops top pair with the nut flush draw and a gutshot but has to rely on the board pairing on the river to scoop this $34.8k pot
Top pair is enough for broksi to take this $42k pot against 101sTheYear
The biggest hand from the past 24hrs fell to PauleAdler;
PauleAdler's flopped two pair boats up on the river as Sauce123's nut flush draw fails to materialise in this $66.5k pot
After some big action of late at PokerStars yesterdays action seemed a little tame by comparison with $50/$100 PLO being about the biggest game running. Let's hope the $200/$400 action hots up again soon so as we can see a few more of those big six figure pots we have become so accustomed to seeing in recent weeks. With Hansen building his bankroll the fireworks are surely just around the corner?
