We were treated to a wealth of high stakes action at PokerStars last night as full tables of $200/$400 PLO including some of the biggest names in poker. Faring best during the nights proceedings were Jeans89 whose $435k win takes him back over $2m profit at PokerStars for 2012 and Sam "tr1cky7" Trickett who added $259k to his ever burgeoning bankroll.
At the tables we saw the likes of Ben86, RaiseOnce, Isildur1, patpatman and 1Il|1Il|1il| also battling it out into the early hours.
Once again the big games started up after Isidlur1 had made a small run at $50/$100 and $100/$200 before moving up to $200/$400 PLO, bringing a glut of action with him which lasted around four hours in total.
While Isildur1's appearance obviously created interest both from the players and railbirds alike he didn't really have too much of a showing in the games, working up a bit of a profit (his total for yesterday shows +$75k) before eventually dropping it and leaving about even (including a few $5k sit and go wins). The main action in the ring games was being created by patpatman who took a hefty tumble yesterday, losing over $400k in the games and being on the wrong end of a lot of the days biggest pots. Here are the three biggest pots;
Jeans89 flops a wrap after Sam Trickett three bets preflop with Aces - patpatman also comes along for the ride as Jeans draw completes on the turn to take this $205k pot
patpatman gets it in with top two and the nut flush draw against Jeans89's turned nut straight - the river brings him no comfort in this $153k pot
Once again patpatman gets involved in a three way all in and once again Jeans89 scoops after flopping top set in this $137k pot
Jeans89 is now approaching $700k profit for the week and at $2.2 million is now third on the PokerStars 2012 leader board and catching up with EireAbu and Sauce123 - although both of these players also won yesterday with EireAbu logging a $50k win and Sauce123 a $133k score, taking $129k of this in a two hour afternoon session at the $100/$200 PLO sessions. Trickett meanwhile used his $259k win to bring his high stakes winnings back into the black for 2012, although this reasonably hefty win pales into comparison to the $11,166,185 he has so far won in 2012 through tournament poker.
Ben86 also had a good session last night although as most of his action took place post midnight server time his results won't be updated on the leader boards until tomorrow. He is currently over $200k in profit over the past 24 hours however, winning his last games heads up at $200/$400 PLO against Isildur1.
There were bad days for two high stakes favourites as Ilari FIN dropped $176k, mainly at the $100/$200 PLO tables and RaiseOnce whose comeback has been stopped in its tracks these last couple of days as he lost $122k at FLO8 and in the big PLO games.
