There was plenty of high stakes PLO action over at PokerStars yesterday with fan favourite Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies coming out on top, netting a $166k win. In fact Ilari's win could have been a lot higher as he was approaching $400k profit at one point during yesterdays sessions, riding high on the $200/$400 tables where he took on the likes of Jeans89, Terken89, PepperoniF, Ben86, The Liar & ValueClown in a combination of six max and heads up play.
Although Ilari also played plenty of $50/$100 and $100/$200 it was the $200/$400 session which dominated the game as he played 682 hands over around 7 hours at table Nerina yesterday. The big guns are also back in play today with Ilari currently holding his own across three tables of $200/$400 PLO.
There have been four six figure hands over the past 24 hours, and here they are in full - with Ilari taking the biggest pot of yesterday;
Ben86 bluffs with his busted flush draw and is looked up by Ilari FIN in this $166.3k pot
Betting into Jeans89's flopped quads was never going to be a good move as Ilari FIN loses this $136.8k pot
The Liar outflops Ilari's Aces in this $103.6k pot
It's a pity for Ben86 that his opponents stacks weren't bigger after this hugely action heavy flop and subsequent four way all in - $100k pot
Other than Ilari, there was one other six figure winner yesterday as Jeans89 put in a +$117.3k performance. He also has been running well today at the $200/$400 PLO tables and yesterdays win put him back over $2 million profit for the year at PokerStars high stakes tables.
It wasn't such a great day however for Ben86 whose magnificent run of form over the past couple of months seemed to temporarily desert him as he ended the day a $264.6k loser. Dropping $166k at table Nerina, where he played alongside the other $200/$400 PLO stars for four hours. Ben also suffered at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables yesterday. He still remains a six figure winner for September however.
