It's been a pretty glum online year for Ilari "Ilari FIN" Sahamies who has spent the vast majority of 2012 in the red to the tune of several hundred thousand dollars. There have however been a number of occasions during which the aggro Finn has fought back hard at the nosebleed PLO tables and racked up substantial wins to put himself among the contenders. Close to a million dollars down in 2012 before yesterday began Ilari stole the show at the tables on Wednesday winning $340.2k in a little over three hours at the $200/$400 PLO tables.
Before Ilari fans get too excited however it is worth noting that Ilari soon starting playing again after a brief hiatus from the tables, this time past midnight server time and proceeded to lose over $200k in just an hours play. After quitting for the night he resumed action this morning at the lower $50/$100 limit and has won back around $27k so far.
However, as far as yesterdays tracked results go, Ilari was the king and here are his biggest two pots of the session;
Ilari gets it in with a killer draw against Ben86's overpair, turns the nut straight and rivers the nut flush in this $143.6k pot
Easy call for Ilari as he flops trip 4's with the nut flush draw to overcome Jeans89's AA in this $109.2k pot
You'll notice in the first pot that Isildur1 also threw his last remaining chips in the pot. Once again we saw the crazy Swede back at the tables and yet again we saw him make a nice $100k win at the $50/$100 PLO tables before upgrading to the nosebleeds where he not only lost all his profits but another $80k besides. Clearly his bankroll hasn't yet reached the level that he feels the need to reign in his gambling but surely the time must come soon where he either runs short on funds or can't find backers unless he shows a little more money management skills.
The biggest pots of the day however came from a wild $200/$400 NLHE session featuring patpatman, Sauce123 and Kanu7;
patpatman coolers Kanu7 all in pre-flop with a classic AA vs KK showdown - $213.3k pot
Kanu7 cleverly slow plays his AA and ends up scooping a $159.8k pot on the river as Sauce123 makes the second nuts only to see Kanu7 show him the stone cold nuts
patpatman continues his rollercoaster week and yesterday posted an impressive $332k win winning big NLHE and PLO sessions through the day. He is now over $550k up in the past few days but still heavily down for 2012.
Also showing six figure wins yesterday we see LewisFriend who took down $263k at FLO8, barcode who took $163k at PLO, Jeans89 who won $114k and RaiseOnce who won $117k which now puts him the black for 2012 after spending much of the year with over $500k in losses. In fact RaiseOnce certainly won more than this yesterday, winning a reported $100k from GVOZDIKA55 at the HORSE tables, although currently due to the recent lack of action there HSDB have not been tracking this action. We will however have full HORSE tracking up and running by 1st November. It appears that RaiseOnce (Phil Ivey?) also did some serious damage to GVOZDIKA55 at the HORSE tables again today as he was recently sitting on a +$400k stack as he looked like he busted the last of the Russian's current online roll.
Of course with so many big winners we had our fair share of losers, and ironically having just written about the big winners of Septembers games it was the biggest two winners from last month who were the biggest two losers yesterday as Odd_Oddsen lost $315.6k and Chung ho lost $202.1k. No prizes for guessing at which variant they each lost their money.
