Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond makes a $300k splash at PokerStars

It's been a wild weekend of action, due in no small part to the spectacular (yet again) rise and fall of Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. On Friday Blom rose from the $25/$50 PLO tables to amass over $900k in profits at one point before eventually dropping most of his winnings over the next two days, and is now just $257k up for his weekends work having lost close to $500k at FLO8 and 2-7 Triiple Draw and a given a little back at PLO (still, not bad work if you can get it). The $650k loss over the past couple of days has however fattened certain other high stakes pros bankrolls as the likes of barcode, FakeLove888, Harrington10 and MrSweets28 all took a slice of Blom's action and carved out neat profits over the past couple of days.

Yesterday saw Phil "MrSweets28" make the most of the action as he made a $291.3k profit yesterday at the $100/$200 PLO tables where he not only profited from Isidildur1 but also in some lengthy heads up play against Finnish phenom Jeans89. In total Galfond won over $300k over four tables and four hours at the $100/$200 PLO tables in last nights session.

Galfond ha been absent for much of the last few weeks but it seems when he does choose to return he always does so with a big win. Watching his matches last night there is no doubt he played well, but there's no denying the cards were also running in his favour. Galfond also picked up the biggest three pots of the past 24 hours, all against Jeans89;

With all the money in on the flop Jeans89 isn't quite drawing dead but he would need a miracle to take down this pot as MrSweets 28 turns over a flopped set, the nut flush draw and the same gutshot straight draw as his opponent in this $68.3k pot

Once again Jeans89 pays off MrSweets28 as the latter rivers a full house in this $61.9k pot

The other six figure winner of the day was FakeLove888 who took his $101k profit from Isildur1 at the Omaha Hi Lo tables. Just below FakeLove888 it was another good day for Harrington10 whose $98.9k win put him over $400k profit for the weekend after his $310k win Saturday. Yesterday his profit came from the FLO8 and 2-7 Triple Draw tables.
