Isildur1 Makes A Successful Comeback - Wins $180k at 2-7 Triple Draw
A good return to the tables for Isildur1 as he dominated Seb86 at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables yesterday
Since his opening great two days back at Full Tilt Poker, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has had some big losses and a few false starts, prompting him to tweet a few days ago that "the tables are being cold, so I'm heading on vacation to a nice warm place! hopefully I bring the warm back to the table"
Whether it was only a "mini-break" or (more likely) that Isildur1 decided to try his luck from warmer climes he certainly enjoyed a good return to the tables, winning close to $180k at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables against french 2-7 TD specialist Sebastien "Seb86" Sabic. Blom played 7 sessions against Sabic at stakes ranging from $300/$600 up to $1500/$3000, winning 5 sessions and losing two over just over 4 hours of play and 750 hands. This score put Isildur1 at the top of yesterday's leader board.
Obviously it's way too early days to make any assumptions about Isildur1's 2-7 TD game as he is still a relative novice and to be honest - we'll have to wait for a pro opinion on that one. However, we all know he's a fast learner and he's obviously got a hunger to learn new games, barely touching the PLO games yesterday (winning less than $1k in just 29 hands).
There were no other big winners at Full Tilt yesterday and no other six figure winners at all at the high stakes tables at either Full Tilt or PokerStars. The next biggest winners came from the PLO tables over at PokerStars as Odd_Oddsen put in a solid days grinding playing nearly 2300 hands of PLO, from $25/$50 up to $100/$200.
The biggest pots of the day however came from a heads up session at the $200/$400 PLO tables between regular rivals Ilari FIN and Barcode.
A slightly ambitious call from Ilari FIN costs him half of this $126k pot
Ilari flops top two and gets a call from a massively dominated Barcode, winning this $79k pot
Ilari is ahead as the money goes in but Barcode has tons of equity and picks up the lead on the turn to take this $68k pot
Neither Barcode or Ilari featured in the days biggest winners as although Barcode had the upper hand in this session, he had multiple losing sessions at the lower limits in over 3100 hands of play yesterday.
Things are going even worse for Barcode today as he lost close to $200k in a morning $200/$400 session of PLO with the spoils being split equally between Ilari FIN and patpatman.
