There has been some epic high stakes Omaha Hi Lo action this weekend with SallyWoo and Gus Hansen reigniting their heads up duel and clashing for around 16 hours over two sessions (one Friday and one Saturday). SallyWoo was the big winner on both occasions, winning over $281k in the first 9 hour session and a huge $533k in the second session. The battles gave SallyWoo the top spot on the leader board on both days with his total of +$295.1k Friday and yesterday.
The epic matches haven't done much for Gus Hansen's bankroll however, and despite winning $937k between the 21st and 27th December he dropped $854.2k between Friday and Saturday and is currently down over $200k today - putting him six figures down for the week rather than a near million dollar winner.
Of course the battle between Hansen and SallyWoo took centre stage this weekend but there were some other big winners over the course of Friday and Saturday with Seb86 also having a great couple of days, winning close to $200k on Friday and over $300k yesterday at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables - taking on and beating the likes of Isildur1, 1Mastermind and DealMeInFast among others over the past couple of days.
Outside of the limit tables of Full Tilt the biggest PLO winner has been Ronny "ronnyr37617" Kaiser who won $213k on Friday at the CAP tables, with the big PLO loser on Friday being English pro Rob "Vaga_Lion" Akery who dropped $148k on the day. It has also been a rough weekend for Phil "Polarizing" Ivey who lost $213k on Friday, including a $100k los to SallyWoo at the FLO8 tables.
The final six figure winner over the past two days over at Full Tilt is Eugene "fishosaurusREX" Yanayt who won $157.5k yesterday at the triple draw tables.
There has actually been a six figure winner over at PokerStars also as mikki696 won a total of $101.6k over the course of Friday and Saturday at the $25/$50 and $50/$100 PLO tables. mikki696 also won a total of $58.5k at the Full Tilt $200/$400 CAP PLO tables.
It won't come as a surprise to those who have been following the online highstakes games of late to hear that we haven't been treated to any huge hands over the weekend so far. Both the biggest hands have come from the tables of PokerStars;
eitan2134 has to get a little lucky on the river to take down this $55.4k pot at PokerStars $200/$400 PLO tables
Aron0621's Aces are cracked from the flop but he bets every street allowing fish2013 to take down this $50.1k pot
Biggest Winners From Friday 28th - Saturday29th December
