After his big sessions during the first week or so of December Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has slowly but surely been leaking money and had lost around $600k of his winnings over the next three weeks. However, he pretty much got it all back yesterday as he cruised to a $564k payday at the high stakes limit tables of Full Tilt.
Blom split his winnings fairly evenly between the 2-7 Triple Draw tables (playing from $500/$1000 up to $1500/$3000 where he played most of his TD) and the FLO8 tables. Although he had some big sessions with other players his profit came from playing heads up at both disciplines with Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn. The pair played at five tables (4 triple draw and 1 FLO8) and Blom crushed his opponent on all five, winning just over $400k at triple draw and $165.5k at FLO8 from PostFlopAction over the course of around 4 hours of play yesterday evening.
Blom also played sessions of FLO8 against last weeks big winner SallyWoo and won $74k from him as well as taking $106k at FLO8 from Kyle "KPR16" Ray. To counter this he lost $106k at triple draw to the days second biggest winner, Alex "Alexonmoon" Luneau and smaller amounts to cottonseed1 and Scott "mastrblastr" Seiver at FLO8 and 2-7 TD respectively.
Isidlur1 is now back up with the biggest winners since the relaunch of Full Tilt back in November with just short of a million dollars profit.
Alexonmoon racked up $177.6k in winnings yesterday as not only did he put a beat on Isildur1 at the triple draw tables but also took some from another of the days big loser fishosaurusREX. The days only other six figure winner also came from Full Tilt as Erik1223 won $106.3k, largely down to a +$94k session of FLO8 where he took a decent chunk from Rafi "howisitfeellike" Amit.
With limit games (and of course some CAP PLO) bringing in the biggest winners of the day at Full Tilt, it's once more over to the lower staked big bet games of PokerStars where we find the days biggest hands;
gomir thinks his TPTK is good to pick off jarma-dharma's big river bet only to find himself up against an unlikely turned trips - $47.3k pot
Benny "toweliestar" Spindler has his opponent all but crushed with a higher pair and flush draw on the turn as the board blanks to hand him this $40.4k pot
