Once again the day's leader board was topped by Patrik "Finddagrind" Antonius as he continued to cruise towards victory in his $1m challenge matches with French pro Rui Cao. He topped up his challenge winnings with a little mixed game success to end the day a $404.2k winner for the day.
Yesterday the pair completed the PLO part of the challenge after Antonius had run away with the Triple Draw section on Saturday. Once again Finddagrind was the victor of the $350k battle. You can read our analysis of yesterday's $1m challenge action here .
Yesterday was also a great day for Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies as he made a $365.5k score in the mixed games over at Full Tilt. This win allowed his account to go into the black for the first time since his return to the high stakes action at Full Tilt a week ago. After a few six figure losses he has now strung together a couple of wins to wipe out last weeks defeats and is now $135k up since his return.
Ziigmund won his money during a four hour session, split between the $1500/$3000 mixed limit games and the $300/$600 games where the biggest losers were Niki Jedlicka, OMGClayAiken, and most significantly Scott "mastrblastr" Seiver, who lost $250k in the mixed games and was a $300k loser on the day after a heavy 2-7 TD loss to OMGClayAiken whose win allowed him to take a modest $58k win yesterday after his losses in the mixed games were accounted for.
Things were not all rosy for Mr Galfond however as his PokerStars alter ego MrSweets28 ended a $146k loser yesterday after losses in the $200/$400 PLO games and playing $100/$200 NLHE heads up against wilhasha. This enabled wilhasha to take third on the daily leader board with a $127k win.
The last six figure winner of the day was 5tgb6yhn7 who won $107.3k in the $200/$400 PLO games at PokerStars.
With big action already in the bag today we should have another day of big winners and losers to report tomorrow.
