After winning over a million dollars on Wednesday, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has since lost pretty much all of it at the highstakes NLHE tables, playing some of the best players in the world over multiple tables of $400/$800. The lion's share of his profits went to English phenom, Alex "IReadYrSoul" Millar, who ended the day a $771k winner.
Blom started the day poorly, losing close to $300k in some $400/$800 games with Ike "luvtheWNBA" Haxton. The pair played for several hours, starting at the $300/$600 tables, where they remained pretty even after an hour's play. Once the switch was made to the $400/$800 tables, Isildur1 took a six figure lead, before Ike pegged him back and took a six figure lead of his own. Once again, things evened out, but towards the end of the match, Haxton won two, $300k pots, to finish the session a $267.8k winner. Haxton took down the second biggest pot of the day in these sessions:
Isildur1 hits top two pair on the river and goes for broke. Unfortunately, the last card also filled up luvtheWNBA's flush and he scoops this $356.5k pot
The match with Millar started late afternoon, and went on past midnight. At first, it looked like it could be a good evening for Isildur1, as he charged into a $400k lead. However, it didn't take long for Millar to get back on even terms, although he spent the next couple of hours constantly playing catch up with the Full Tilt Pro.
In fact, for three quarters of the match, Blom was marginally ahead. However, at this point, Millar went on the first of two hot streaks, winning $700k over the next hour, to give him a $400k lead. After another period of break-even play, Millar enjoyed one last burst of form to add an additional $360k in half an hour to end the match a $771.5k. As the final burst for Millar took place in sessions which began shortly after midnight, his official winning total for yesterday was $416k. Along the way, Millar also took down the biggest pot of the day:
Isildur1 bluff shoves the river with a busted straight draw and his bluff is picked off my IReadYrSoul, who had turned two pair - $380.5k pot
The only other six figure winner at Full Tilt yesterday was German limit specialist, Kagome Kagome, who took $227.2k from Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond at the 2-7 TD tables. The pair played for an hour, over two tables during an ealry morning session.
In fact, it was an all round bad day for Galfond, as he was the victim of PokerStars biggest winner yesterday, d2mfi. The pair played heads-up at the $50/$100 PLO tables, with d2themfi ending a $152.3k winner.
