Hi, my name is Ryan and I played on Pokerstars as YourDoom. I can be reached at [email protected]. Our website is www.YourDoomPoker.com

I offer Advanced NLH coaching for €295/hour (marked down from the pre-Black Friday price of $450.)

From June 2008 - April 2010, NL600 was my main game and I beat that level at exactly 11.52bb/100 (the absolute highest winrate at that level on Pokerstars for any significant volume.)

In April 2010 I moved from NL600 to NL2k as my main game. I beat NL2k at 9.72bb/100 and had the #1 highest amount of winnings at that level of any Pokerstars player for 2010 (and #2 in the world among all tracked sites.)

"Advanced NLH Poker with YourDoom - How to Play Optimally With and Against a 40BB Stack"

There is a ridiculous, easily exploitable game out there right now since almost no one has any idea how to play with or against a midstack.

Think of it like this. If you could go back to 2008 with the poker knowledge that you have right now, how would you do in the games? I think if you're a 2bb/100 winner at NL100 in 2012, then you would CRUSH NL600 in 2008 with that same skill set.

The same thing is happening right now, but only with 40BB poker. Maybe in a few years everyone will catch up and by 2014/2015 it will be the standard to be proficient with and against a 40BB stack. But right this second, there is a gold mine out there for the taking. 2012 poker is so easily crushed with my 40BB system; it's really the same as playing 100BB poker in 2008 imo; mainly because no one knows how to do it well.

This course is recommended for ALL:

100BB Players
30-50BB Players
MTT Players
6-Max Players
Full-Ring Players
Any player who wishes to learn a complete Advanced NLH 40BB Strategy
Players who wish to dominate the fish-filled shallow tables that most 100BB regs refuse to play.
Players who wish to dominate the incredibly sick 40BB shallow tables on FullTilt (as soon as FullTilt returns)

I am a former high school math teacher and have been playing poker full time since June 2008. I have a master's degree in secondary math education, so my background lends myself to being a good teacher. As of 2013, I have coached over 100 players so far and am now looking to expand my coaching business further.

Other player/coaches put in tons of volume thus boosting their overall earnings, but do you really want a coach who puts in high volume with a marginal winrate?

Or do you want the coach with the best overall winrate? ie... The coach who knows how to play each hand the most profitable way that it can be played.

What I teach each student is how to make the best possible decisions in every situation and how to dominate every table that they play at. Then I let each student apply those skills whatever number of tables they can effectively play simultaneously, whether it's 1 or 24.

Over 30 students have paid my usual $450/hr coaching rate. I'm now offering coaching at the extremely low rate of only €295 an hour (€442 per 90 minute session.) This is much less than others at my level charge. I only offer this new low rate because I now have more time to coach and would like to get my schedule filled.

In addition to my specialty (100BB poker,) I have spent a considerable amount of time over the past few months learning, studying and perfecting the 40BB games on FT.

FT is currently offline, but I know that iPoker has incredibly good 20-50BB tables up to 1/2NL. The good news also is that my 40BB strategy can very much be applied to 100BB tables. Players playing a 40BB stack vs all 100BB players have an even larger advantage in exploiting bet sizing.

Playing w a 40BB stack on any 100BB table can create an even larger edge as 100BB players are much more clueless about 40BB math than other 40BB regulars.

If you're interested in learning and mastering everything there is to know about playing a 40BB stack, then I'm your man. (See my rant on these 40BB games below :))

After I receive your first session deposit, I will send you a list of pre-introductory questions that I've put together, so that I can get a handle on your situation and current skill level. (Those questions are all handled off the ****, free of charge.) Then we get down to business. Please email me for specifics on how coaching works.

Despite the 2 hour session length, I frequently find myself going over the allotted time when making notes (at no additional charge.) I will also happily answer two email follow up questions off the **** anytime after each session. Getting invested in my student's successes has become a huge aspect of my job as a coach. I routinely check up on my present and former students, and take their level of success personally.

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] for more information.

Storytelling and the history of my online poker career

This is my story about how I grew from playing $10 sngs to being the #1 overall winner at $10/$20 NL on Pokerstars in 2010.

I recently stumbled upon a thread in the low stakes thread (somehow) about this $0.10/$0.25 NL regular talking about how he crushes his level at over 5ptBB/100, and how he refuses to move up to $0.25/$0.50. Apparently he's only beating $0.25/$0.50 at 1ptBB/100. This is because any table he sits at is nothing but "sharks." He concludes that $0.10/$0.25 is the most profitable and best game to play...

I remember this post vividly because it really got me to thinking about my own skill level as an online poker player, and gave me a serious revelation on online poker in general...

My online poker career started back in 2005. I was working full time as an electrical engineer and was grinding (and crushing) $10 nine-handed sngs on Party poker in my free time. Doing this part time, my goal was to make $500 a month which would cover my portion of the rent of the townhouse that I shared with two of my buddies. I occasionally tried a $20 or a $30 sng, but found these tourneys to be way too tough and unprofitable. Once I took a shot at a $100 sng. I was extremely nervous. I distinctly remember the key hand. I was dealt AQ, and called a raise preflop. The flop was AA5. He bet and I called 3 times. He showed AK and I lost 60% of my stack. Everyone at the table started making fun of me. I typed "how can I fold that?" Someone typed back, "you click fold." I remember thinking, "wow,
these games are way too tough for me." $10 sngs are clearly the most profitable games.

In the summer of 2007 I had since made the transition to cash games. I was working full time as a high school math teacher and playing online poker in my free time. Since I had summers off, I 3-tabled $1/$2 NL for a few hours every day and made 86 cents a hand. This was a winrate of 21.5ptBB/100 (43bb/100) ...even though I had no idea what that meant at the time, (granted, the games were much softer back then.) I occasionally tried to play some $2/$4NL, but this level proved to be much harder. I couldn't win. I concluded that $1/$2 NL was by far the most profitable game to play on FT. I remember posting my winrate on 2+2 and EVERYONE was saying that I would never sustain that winrate; that it was impossible. Winning like that seemed normal enough to me, but maybe everyone was right. Maybe I was just a really lucky guy.

In 2008, I was playing $2/$4 on FT full time. Over the next six month stretch, I was winning at 10.5ptBB/100. I remember posting these results on some 2+2 thread and having everyone fire back that was no way that I would ever sustain that winrate; that it was impossible. Again I felt like winning like that was what was normal, but maybe everyone was right. Maybe I was just a really lucky guy.

In June 2008, I was doing well enough that I decided to quit my full time teaching job to play online poker full time. This was when I found $3/$6 NL on PS. ($3/$6 rarely ran on FT.) And these games were amazing. From June 2008 - April 2010, $3/$6 NLHE was my main game and I beat that level at exactly 5.76ptBB/100 (the absolute highest winrate at that level on Pokerstars for any significant volume.) Again, when I discussed my winrate, I was told that anything over 3-4ptBB/100 was impossible to sustain for any lengthy stretch of time. Maybe I was just a really lucky guy.

During this stretch, I occasionally played $5/$10 NL, but could not beat the level as I just ran terrible all the time. (I can tell you the real reasons you "run terrible all the time" at one level higher than your main game.) Anyways, it was pretty clear to me...$3/$6 NL was the most profitable level to play. Anyone playing $5/$10 NL was an idiot. There was no value there.

In April 2010 I moved from $3/$6 to $10/$20 as my main game. I've been beating $10/$20 at right around 5ptBB/100 since April 2010 and had the #1 highest amount of winnings at that level of any Pokerstars player for 2010 (and #2 in the world among all tracked sites.) I received several posts on my PTR page about how hot I run and how NO-ONE beats $10/$20 NL at 5ptBB/100. Winning like that seemed normal enough to me, but maybe everyone was right. Maybe I'm just a really lucky guy.

So the point of my story?...Every level is beatable. It's all relative to your talent level. Never listen to the masses about what "can't" be done. If you can't beat a particular level, it's not because "you run bad at that level" or "there are too many sharks" there...you're just not good enough...yet. Also, in the long term, there is no such thing as "luck." Everyone's winrate over 4 years and one million hands is... well... your true winrate.

How can you reach my level? Simple. You need to have some natural ability (obviously), a genuine interest and commitment to becoming a top player and most importantly you need a top coach to get you there. Anyone who tells you that they are 100% self-taught, isn't realizing their full potential. It is critical to have another top mind to be able to work with and to be able to bounce ideas off of.

Luckily for me, my younger brother is another top online pro. We helped and continue to help each other reach our full potential. Neither one of us could of gotten where we are today on our own. It's my goal to be the best poker coach in the world charging under $1000 an hour, while also being affordable to the average $0.5/$1 NL player trying to make a full time living playing poker. Being a former HS math teacher, I excel at being able to communicate the understanding of different concepts and techniques. I understand and adapt to the different learning styles that each student may have. The bottom line is... I understand this game, I enjoy teaching, and I know how to teach.

In an effort to gain more coaching business, I am currently only charging $450/hr for poker instruction. The clientele I am looking for are players who are ready to make $3k-$4k investment, and who are committed to dramatically improving their game and want to learn advanced poker skills that will last a lifetime.

I do also take students who like to do a quick session (or two) and just want to see some moderate improvements, but getting invested in my student's successes has become a huge aspect of my job as a coach. I routinely check up on my present and former students, and take their level of success personally.

Frequently asked questions

Your volume since Sept. 2008 looks low for a full-time pro. Why is that?

I only play 4 tables at a time, and I spend a great deal of time making and studying my notes. I feel it's very important to be one of the best regs at whatever level you are playing.

Do you consider yourself a full ring expert as well as a 6 max expert?

Absolutely. I've studied, played and can teach the difference between 6 max and FR. I routinely coach both.

What types of tables do you play? 100BB only?

In my studies it was important for me to learn how to play any size stack effectively from 1BB to 1000BBs; unlike many regs who only play 100BB poker and never learned how to play w a 20BB, 30BB, 40BB, 50BB, or 250BB stack. Even if you only play 100BB poker, you will still face all of these effective stack sizes from time to time so you need to know how to dominate them.

I generally buy in to cover the fish at the table. So if the fish is full stacked, I'll buy in for 100bbs. If the fish has 40-50bbs I will buy in for that amount to be able to fully exploit the 100bb regulars at the table as well as covering the fish.

I'm really worried about coaches now-a-days holding back information and some of their best plays... do you "tell all?"

I don't hold back anything at all. You're paying good money for my services, and deserve my total effort and expertise.

Will you consider a staking or profit sharing deal in exchange for coaching?

Sorry, but I don't do any staking or profit sharing deals.

My redline tanks ... do you have ways to help fix this?

My style produces a close to even redline. A sharp down sloping redline is a VERY common problem that many of my students have and one that I excel in solving...

After I buy one of your video series, how do I receive my product? Are the videos downloadable?

I hear your HM2 HUD with customized popups is awesome! How can I get a copy to import?

My HUD layout with popups and detailed explanations sells for €99. It is also free for all YourDoom course members. Email me at [email protected] for a copy.

If I buy a video series on your site, how long will it take for me to get access?

If you purchase through the website www.YourDoomPoker.com using PayPal or a credit card, you will get instant access to your course. If you pay with an alternative method, you will receive access within 24 hours (but usually much sooner.)

How do you accept payment? Can I send you money from my online poker account?

No offence to your 2012 results, but any break even player plyaing 57000 hands per year can have a huge winrate. If you only have to play 5000 hands per month it's possible to only play when a huge donator is playing. Your winrate would be impressive if you played 10 times as many hands per year and you could keep the same winrate, now it means absolutely nothing.

Great point! I agree that the sample size is very small but these are all the hands that I played in 2012. So I chose to post the most current info rather than no info at all. But I certainly disagree that it means "absolutely nothing."

I agree that you should never judge anyone's abilities on a standalone 57k hand sample. This 57k sample should be used in conjunction with the other stats that I have posted in my OP. My 9.72bb/100 winrate at NL2k in over 97k hands in 2010 and my 11.52bb/100 winrate at NL600 in the 2 years prior for example.

Again, I'm sorry if my low sample size offended you, but I believe in full transparency and giving potential students "a complete picture" regarding my past and most recent results.

My professional priorities in 2012 were Videos, www.YourDoomPoker.com, Coaching and Playing hands in that order.

The bottom line is that I've been winning like this my entire life. (Read my story in the OP) ;)

You have to ask yourself if it's worth $4-5k to you to learn poker skills that you'll have for a lifetime. I generally look for people who are ready to commit to the program as I tend to get personally invested with my student's improvement and success.

I mean if I can even improve your 1/2NL winrate by 2bb/100 (which would be a very conservative estimate - a borderline failure even) that’s a $40,000 value over your next 1M hands.

Generally I suggest starting with my video series as that is advanced, top level stuff that I would teach you anyway (at a fraction of the cost of coaching) and then taking a 10 hour coaching package to really drill into your specific game leaks.

do u think u can teach a style where is possible to have the non showdown line going up as much or more than the showdown winnings and still be a profitable player?

Or do u think its not possible at all and it won't be a profitable style in the long run?

Thank you.

This sounds like something Mother Theresa would say.

I don't think your hand sample is so great
I mean 40k Hds, 30 K hds that's a 2 week grind. Show us a 500K sample in which u crush 600 NL (not 2K NL)
But hey that's just my opinion

WCS064 (2013-02-07) Mr. Doom

I'd like to ask a few questions, but usually questions in these threads get deleted within the hour.

Do the mods ask you what questions you want deleted, or do they make that decision themselves?

According to woot, in his last explanation on why he deletes all the questions, you can't post here unless you have used your product before.

Don't you find that a little counterproductive? Do you really only want posts from past customers? How many of your past customers even post here?

Again, I'd like to ask a few questions. I prefer to ask them publicly as I believe the answers could be beneficial to readers/potential customers. However, if you don't want people asking questions here, I'd be glad to simply PM you. I just want to know what's going on before I post, because it gets old having your posts deleted.

If you encourage questions, and don't want only old customers posting itt, please tell the mods that.

Honestly, as a longtime member of this forum, it's rather insulting that you can come in here and take up our whole front page with 5 different threads that we aren't allowed to post in.

I understand you are paying HSDB for the privilege. However, without regular visitors, there'd be no reason for you to pay them. So maybe you should consider that when deciding who can post in your threads.

Sorry for the misunderstanding :) EVERYONE is more than welcomed and encouraged to post legit questions, comments and even criticisms here. And I welcome all of your questions and comments!

I have absolutely nothing at all to hide and am more than happy to respond to any (non-trolling) posts.

So far the only post that has been deleted from this thread was from a guy who just stopped in to call me and all my students "idiots" for no good reason.

PS I will answer all of the other posts shortly.

PPS I have no intention of clogging up your front page. There were an excess of posts this week due to the fact that we were setting up new threads for our products here
Moving forward this will be the only thread open for discussion and there will be a max of one other post w the daily testimonial by support in the locked threads
