This was a hand in a $33 PLO Rush Turbo MTT (1451 entries 251 left 150 payout)
Chip Stacks (Chip avg was 8706)(Blinds 250/500)
NUTS-9520 (Ad8dQh8h) Villian#1-15200 Villian#2-6590
Villian#1 opens for 1000 NUTS-calls Villian#2 calls Flop: 8sAhKh Villian #1 bets pot NUTS-instashoves Villian#2-Calls Villian#1 Calls
Villian#1 shows AcAs4c5s Villian#2 shows KcKd9d10h Turn and River brick, Villian#1 with AAA takes pot down...am I doomed to go broke here or is it possible I could've gotten away from it after the pot bet on the flop? I thought it was incredibly unlucky to get it in on the flop with bottom set and the nut flush draw and be way behind...thoughts?

fold pre
edit: and fold flop obviously because if we call 88ds preflop, a set+fd is not what we looking for right?

Agreed...
This is a fold pre, and the flop could not get any better. Even if your opponents played with their cards open you still have to get your money i the middle...

Once you get to the flop it's a no brainer. All three hitting sets is good for you since there are very few FH redraws for them if you hit your flush. And with a chance to triple you have enough equity to play your (hopefully) ten outs. If you win you have a good shot. However, since stacks are small relative to the blinds I fold pre and stick to situations where you have stealing equity and situations where your hand rates to be the best pre flop hand.
