RE: do you like my bluff?

Yes and no.

Yes...
Is he raising a wide range of hands (most pairs, suited Axxx, well coordinated hands like 6789ds)? Do he reraise those hands as he does preflop here? Is his bet on the flop a standard c-bet to see where he's at? Then yes, but it's more of a semi-bluff that will get him off of a lot of hands he doesn't really like here anyway.

No...
Is the reraise always QQxx and up? Then I dont like it if he historically seemed hard to get off these hands. You got away with one. He also could have easily had the NFD or a wrap hand and snap-shoved all in and wins there a lot, especially if backed up with any other connection to the flop.

Overall, the play worked, so you gotta like it yourself. If you play Omaha enough though, you have to know how marginally favored most hand matchups are. You just basically have to ask yourself when you reraise there, Will I call if he reships everything? There is no definite answer here, you have to make quick decisions based on the moment considering many factors: your table image and his, stack sizes, tilt factors, etc.

Congrats on the nice pot regardless.

RE: do you like my bluff?

If your opponent misses that flop, you're a genius, and if he hits that flop, you look stupid.

It all depends on how hot your opponents run against you I guess. I just know that for me, 90% of the time that I try to be "creative", no matter what the flop is, it just happens that my opponent hit the unlikely freaking nuts against me.

Sorry, but I'm just venting, as I hate poker right now. BigGrin BigGrin

RE: do you like my bluff?

If you run like god, and never fold pre-flop, and have the flop stick to you like velcro 90% of the time (aka, run like god), then you'll be a winning player. What more can I say?

This may be a stupid question but what does "25/18 9 over 70 hands" mean?

Thanks.

RE: do you like my bluff?

i actually dont see him stacking here off with anything beside K10 or sets with strong diamonds...i normaly dont make blockerplays that often but i thought this was the prefect spot cause we were pretty deep and he played str8 forward and this was his first 3 bet oop against me(which he thinks is a decent player i assume)is most likely AAxx and i thought i could get him off these hands almost everytime.if he ships flop... well.....BigGrin

seems like you should care what the flop comes off if you're trying to get creative.

That's not how I meant it. I didn't mean "I don't care what the flop is, I'll try a random bluff here or there".

What I meant was, I DO try to get "creative" on a flop that's super unlikely to have hit him (like if he 3 bets, and the flop comes say, 4 5 7, and of course, he happens to have 6 8 with his aces. That's what I mean. No matter how illogical it is, they ALWAYS seem to "stumble into the nuts" whenever I try to make a move.

Like for example, the OP made a move against a 3-bettor on a Q J 9 flop, had I done that, the opponent would have had something like AAKT for example. Soooo frustrating. lol
