what does norman chad mean?
I was just wondering what norman chad means with all his university jokes like... : "<some college", i believe they are the thundering heard" or "ramlin wreck" .. he uses these lines no matter which university he is talking about .. but I don't get it really Smile

Yeah it's an american joke but still really dumb.  Would be nice to see norman and lon get the axe and have gabe kaplan sign on with espn.

Norman Chad, Lon, Sexton and Vince are all good commentators but they've been doing it for so long that they constantly keep using the same lines which can get rather annoying. I don't remember that last time I watched the WPT where Vince didn't say "zip and pip". Every time I hear him say it I just wanna punch my tv.

Those are just names of different colleges for example Georgia Tech is the Rambling Wreck and he seems to pick a different one each year. 

Wish they had someone commentating who actually analyzed what the poker they were watching.

I haven't watched any WSOP 2011 episodes on ESPN yet... The ONLY reason why I might even consider doing so is to hear Norman Chad's awesomeness.

The Rambling Wreck is the official mascot of Georgia Tech. It's an old 1930s era Ford that serves as its mascot. Thundering Herd is the team name for Marshall University and a few other schools i think. That's all really.

I like the bit personally, he's just joking about the far-ranging hometowns/alma maters of the players.
