SharkStaking joins HighStakesDB

Hi all,

SharkStaking is pleased to announce an ongoing partnership with HighStakesDB, and we'll use this forum to answer any queries you guys may have about us.

With an ever growing stable of players, SharkStaking mentor and sponsor players of all ages, abilities and game types, focusing on helping players evolve and develop their poker game, both technically and psychologically.

Why get staked?

Staking enables players to play risk-free poker, focusing on making the correct decisions and not being bound by financial constraint. It instils discipline, encourages learning and allows players to become part of a community.

All SharkStaking players are allocated a mentor and receive free coaching from top professionals, enabling them to keep in touch with an ever changing game. Our aim is not to simply bankroll players, but to assist each player in improving and refining their game.

What deals do you offer?

We tailor deals to suit your needs, based on playing history and ability. All we ask is that you have a reasonable sample of hands/tournaments (50k hands/1000 tournaments) and are committed to putting in reasonable volume and developing as a player. We offer a variety of profit sharing options as well as unrivalled bonus schemes for all of our staked players. Note - we do not stake those who play exclusively mtt's, but are happy to stake players in a mix of sngs/mtts.

How do I apply?

Simply pay us a visit at SharkStaking and fill in the application form. We aim to respond to all applications within 24 hours.

Any questions, please feel free to post in this thread or create a new sub-topic.

Thanks,

The SharkStaking Team

RE: SharkStaking joins HighStakesDB

Hi Offe12,

We have a number of coaches who work with our players, listed here:

http://sharkstaking.com/our-coaches/

The most prominent probably being Jonathan Davis who also coaches PLO for CardRunners. We also have a deal in place with Jared Tendler which allows us to send some players to him for mental game coaching.

We are based in the UK, and those who run the company have been involved in poker for the last decade or so (as players, writers, coaches, poker room managers). We currently stake around 60 players and are always looking to take on more players. We firmly believe in building a community spirit between our players and work hard to ensure all of our players are happy in what they are doing.

In terms of knowing we are legit, we have been running for around 3 years now and have strived to build a good reputation in the poker community. Obviously a lot of people still haven't heard of us, but there is a references section on our site, and hopefully HighstakesDB endorsing us adds some credibility to our cause Smile

Hope that answers your questions!

RE: SharkStaking joins HighStakesDB

The more of a sample size you can provide when applying the better, but we don't require our players to be huge winners; everyone has a certain level of potential and our goal is to help you realise that potential. Most of our players are at the lower levels and would like to improve their game, build a bankroll and eventually establish themselves at a certain limit.

What we are looking for is players who are enthusiastic about learning, and willing to put time and effort into their game. One of the hardest things in poker is establishing yourself and building a bankroll, and we hope that we can help those struggling in that aspect to become successful in their chosen game.

RE: SharkStaking joins HighStakesDB

Hey guys..

I just wanna say a couple of things.

I am still alive. But i havent played poker the past 6months. After crushing HU plo on 50 and 100 dollars BI on a lot of skins, i have lost like 30K USD on PLO 500 and 1K in 6m .. I really suck at 6m. But i think im gonna make a return on FTP when they are back. Hopefully only playing HU.

I would like to say one thing about sharkstaking.

If any of you are good enough to get staked, then it is a real huge opportunity.
I have been staked by them (but i was on constant semi-tilt) because i couldnt get my roll back. Sharkstaking is a really nice.

Especially David, who where the one i had contact with he is an awesome genuine guy.

I did tell them myself that we should stop the stake since i lost almost 2k, i did run 20 bi or more under EV, but that wasnt the point. The point was that i was tilted 24/7 both in life and in Poker. So i told them that i didnt wanna loose more of their money since i felt i was a failure.

But i have nothing else than nice word to say about them, and it was a big surprise to see them cooperating here with HSDB.

I wish them the best, and i hope some of you have got the same opportunity as me to get staked and feel less stressed out with your roll. Furthermore i think you will have some diff. coaches to help you. You can get really far through this.

Have a nice day guys - Good luck at the tables Smile

PS. To the user who answers this, give my best regards to David. I think by reading this he knows who i am Smile
