With both them calling he could have thought it'd be a profitable play, moreso as he figured one of them would bet big and push out the other... Not that shocking of a play, really.

I can understand his shove a lot more than his initial 3-bet, although even there he's pretty dead in the water a lot of the time. If Barcode flips up as little as AKT2, he's fried. Why 3-bet it in the first place though? What type of flop is he going to be happy with?

He 3-bet to 5-bet. Because of how deep they were and loose they were playing he probably thought he would get them to fold...without aces that's a sick spot.
