FTP and Pokerstars Rake

Can anyone fill me in on why FTP is raking 50cents per hand in sky ****in high limits while at 100/200 on stars they are taking $5 per hand.

This **** really baffles me, specially as I pay more per hand at 25 or 50nl where the house ends up with a whole fukin buy in after a couple hundred hands. Angry

RE: FTP and Pokerstars Rake

$0.5 max rake per hand at FTP is only for heads up tables, FTP rakes more than at non-head up tables. Stars is the same, but most of their high-stakes games aren't at heads up tables, partly because they don't have them above $50/100.
But yes, their ring-game rake at high-stakes is still more, because they changed the structure of it at the start of 2012.

This used to be true but both sites now charge same rate if only 2 players are dealt into the hand regardless if table is heads up or bigger table.

details of rake on both sites:
FTP: http://w.fulltiltpoker.com/rake.php
Stars: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/rake/

I am not sure if FTP rake has been changed from the takeover or not. It and hard to know exactly which site is best as stars % is a bit lower but FTP pay weekly rakeback through edge rewards and has a lower cap at high stakes but if you play 3/6 or lower full ring stars cap is lower.
Both charge far too much!!

I find it strange that they were playing for dollars in Germany!
Should a poker site be charging equal rates as a live casino? They dont have to pay to keep you warm and comfortable or pay dealers, waitresses security etc. online rake should be much lower than live casino!
